Preventative Care

Ensure Your Pet Lives a Happy and Healthy Life

Our friendly team are very knowledgeable and would be happy to answer any questions you have

Ongoing preventative care is the best way to ensure your pet will live a healthy and happy life.

We recommend all pets have a complete wellness check every year. During this visit the vets at Happy Paws Vet Clinic will be able to examine your pet from nose to tail. This is the perfect time for you to discuss any questions you may have with your vet and get your pet up to date with their vaccinations. We may recommend additional diagnostics or procedures depending on our findings and will discuss ongoing care required to keep your pet in the best shape possible.

Preventive care includes routine health checks, vaccinations, parasite prevention, nutrition, microchipping, dental/oral care and often blood and urine testing in our senior patients. There are so many different diets and parasite prevention products available, it can be quite confusing! Every pet and situation is different and there is not one product or diet that is the best for everyone. Our friendly team are very knowledgeable in these areas and would be happy to answer any questions you have and make recommendations for what would be best for your fur baby.

Senior pets are special! At Happy Paws Veterinary Clinic we know how important your senior pets are to you. Did you know that on average one year in a pet’s life is equivalent to about 7 years in a human’s life? Once your fur baby is over 7 years old they are considered a senior.

For these pets we recommend twice yearly health checks. We may also recommend blood and urine tests to allow us to screen for and address any underlying issues to ensure our seniors have a happy, long life without pain or suffering.

If you have concerns about your pet’s health or wish to book your pet in for a health check, call Happy Paws today.
