Happy Paws Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned  small animal practice located on the northern end of the Gold Coast, opened in 2017 by Dr Vanessa.

I dreamt of a clinic where 30 minute consultations would be considered standard to be able to deliver exceptional service, be thorough and still have enough time to develop a relationship with the clients. A clinic where they embrace team culture based on respect and integrity, working alongside people who share a true passion for their job and enjoy going to work, where mistakes were viewed as learning opportunities and feedback was welcomed and encouraged. 6 years on, not only has this dream come true but we are currently in the process of becoming bigger and better with our new expansion!” Dr Vanessa

  • 30 minute consultations and capped surgery limits so you don’t feel rushed
  • Generous salary package commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience

What we need from you…

  • Confidently perform in all areas of general practice
  • The ability to promote a positive environment and forging positive relationships both internally and externally (you must be able to have a good laugh!)
  • A non-judgmental approach, maintaining sensitivity to everyone’s individual situations, backgrounds and decisions
  • Proven track record of strong resilience and empathy within the workplace
  • Accuracy and clarity in communications with clients and team
  • Ability to maintain composure in high pressure situations
  • Loves to love people at their best and through their challenging times
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Identify areas of improvement for patient care and implement change where appropriate
  • Experience in Ultrasound would be highly desired but not essential

What you need for this role…

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technician Degree
  • Minimum 3+ years hands on clinical experience in a practice is essential
  • Confidence in carrying out all clinical aspects of a vet nurse
  • An outgoing, friendly attitude with a growth mindset
  • Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Proven track record of strong resilience and empathy within the workplace
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • The ability to promote a positive environment and forging positive relationships both internally and externally (you must be able to have a good laugh!)

Happy Paws Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned and operated small animal practice on the northern end of the Gold Coast in the green and leafy suburb of Coombabah. Opened in 2017, we are in the process of expanding to the space next door. Renovations include a separate cat ‘side’ – with an entrance, waiting room and two designated consult rooms.
